And then there was Dr. John…now, I can’t stop smiling and because of him, I will be smiling extra big on my wedding day!! He and his staff make you feel at home and treat you like a friend instead of a patient….They are AWESOME!!"

    • "It was just by chance that I met Dr. Selden and the Team and I am glad our paths crossed. I consider myself to be a detailed oriented individual and to use the words from Dr. Selden’s Home page, “To say that Dr. Selden pays attention to detail would be an understatement.” When I walked into the office, I made an immediate call to my wife and informed her that we have found a new Dentist."

    Dentures / Turbyfill

Dreading wearing dentures? Don’t, they can alter your life! Imagine being able to chew your food, smile without embarrassment, even speak properly. Dr. John Selden will help you achieve your dream.

    What are Dentures?

Dentures are a set of artificial teeth used when a patient has lost real teeth.

Patients lose their teeth to a variety of reasons, including:

    • severe malnutrition
    • genetic defects
    • poor oral hygiene
    • trauma

Dentures give better chewing abilities and greater aesthetic appeal by providing the illusion of natural teeth.

What’s more dentures can now be stabilized with an implant procedure bringing more comfort and better chewing abilities to the denture wearer.

    Turbyfill Denture Technique

Developed by Dr. Jack Turbyfill, a world-renowned expert on dentures, Turbyfill dentures are prosthodontic dentures specially created to balance a patient’s occlusion (the contact between the upper and lower teeth during eating or at rest) and aesthetics and accommodate the loss of bone and gum tissue.

    • Turbyfill Dentures captures a copy of a person’s mouth while they are eating, chewing, and speaking with great accuracy thus making them amazingly comfortable and enhances the patient’s facial appearance.
    • The all-porcelain artificial teeth are more attractive and durable than traditional plastic materials.
    • Ideal for denture wearers who have experienced bone and/or tissue degeneration with other types of dentures. Many of these problems associated with common dentures are so well controlled with Turbyfill that they tend to not exist.
    • Poor fitting dentures can cause sore spots in your mouth as well as stomach problems from not being able to chew food properly. With Turbyfill dentures, bone deterioration, speech difficulties, shrinkage, eating favorite foods, loose fitting, even that noisy clicking sound all becomes a non-issue.

    We Provide Denture Reline

Why Use a LAB RELINE Instead of an In-Office Reline?

    • More durable – fabricated under high heat and pressure
    • Stain and break resistant – can last 10+ years vs. less than a year
    • Better fit – softer impression materials create a more accurate denture
    • Staying power – post dams available in lab relines help keep dentures in place

    The Dentures Procedure

There are several types of dentures available:

    • Removable partial dentures are for patients who are missing some but not all of their teeth.
    • Fixed partial dentures (also known as permanent bridges) are made from crowns that are fitted on the remaining natural teeth as well as synthetic materials that are sculpted to resemble teeth.
    • Complete dentures or full dentures are for patients who are missing all their upper or lower teeth.
